Finding hidden content inside media content such as video games, DVD’s/Blu-Ray etc. is not uncommon and even on the technical end, there have been many times where hidden stuff were pulled out of a software’s coding. Generally this is referred to as Easter eggs and thanks to some very prying eyes (and hands) we can now add another Easter egg to our list, straight from a ROM drawn from somebody’s Samsung Galaxy S II.

The below image is the highly recognizable Android mascot which is sporting a new costume, one that would resemble a famous super hero though we’re not sure if Iron Man would be the right look as the name tattooed across the Android mascot chest is the same name of a less famous super hero.

Apparently someone on the design team had far too much time on their hands though we will comment that it is a nice touch. So the question is asked, what would you name him? Personally I’d just stick with “Flash” but that’s just me. Meanwhile, if you’re more interested in the Galaxy S II than the Easter Eggs you can find on it, click here for some great deals.

The Blackberry Curve series has been marketed as an entry level device to many business users who are looking for a device that focuses on messaging and other business applications. Except for the 8900, most of the Curve’s have lacked a consumer incentive. That however might change with the release of Blackberry’s next generation device which is codenamed the Blackberry Sedona. Currently the device does not have a model number but reports claim it is known internally as the R010.

The Curve is a slim form factor which is almost half the size of of the Bold 9700/80. The device will be sporting Blackberry’s latest operating system “OS 6.1” which has made a great push on touch and user interface. There is 512MB of RAM included as well as an EM1 battery.

According to tipsters who were able to put the device through its paces, the phone will currently has a buggy OS but seeing this is an early build, we suspect these features will be well ironed out before the company decides to ship the device.

Those who have used the device have dubbed it as a thinner Bold 9780. The screen is a bit shorter than the Bold as well as a little shorter in length. The screen which does not have an official resolution as yet does appear to be much higher than that of current devices.

The device will run off the 3G bands on both CDMA and GSM. There is not suspected release date, but if past experiences with Blackberry are any indication, this one could come out pretty soon seeing the company is always releasing devices.
We’ll update you with information when we get it. For now, you can continue saving up your pennies.

Now it is the turn of the Windows Phone segment, with its new Samsung Omnia 7. This is among the world’s first phones to be running on the new Windows Phone 7 series operating system. It is a well-known fact that Windows Mobile usually runs on phones, which have high levels of capabilities, both in terms of features and hardware. The Samsung Omnia 7 is no different.

Featuring one of the biggest screens to be fitted on a phone, the Samsung Omnia 7 is a delight to look at, with its sleek and stylish design. The phone has a 4 inch Super AMOLED touch screen, which is not just big, but it also rich and vibrant just like your HD TV. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera with a number of features like smile detecting, panorama, Beauty Shot and Lomo Mode. The camera has also HD video recording capabilities and it does so in 720p format, which can later be enjoyed on your HD TV. The camera also has an auto-focus feature to shoot great images very easily.

To run all the high-end applications that come with the Windows Phone 7 operating system, this phone has powerful 1 GHZ processor, which also ply’s its trade in most of the other high-end phones. It would be daft to give such a powerful phone with so many features and give a poor battery and hence Samsung has given this phone with a powerful battery too, which offers nearly 7 hours of talk time. The phone also has 512 MB of RAM to supplement the processor.

Being a Windows phone, this has all the features like Xbox connectivity and Zune media capabilities. Using the Xbox live connectivity, users can play all their favourite Xbox games with their friends and competitors right on their mobile itself. The Zune pass allows you to stream your favourite tunes right on the phone too. The phone has 8GB internal memory offering adequate memory to store your favourite movies and music.

Connectivity options include 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, 2 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1. Being a Windows phone, it has all the office applications like Microsoft Office to do business on the go. Bing Maps are provided with the phone offering easy navigation to any place you would like all over the world. Accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light come as a standard. A 3.5 mm jack and microUSB are also given as standard.

Samsung has announced that the phone will be launched in the UK very shortly. A number of service providers have already revealed their pricing plans. T-Mobile will be one of the very first to launch this phone in the UK and will be offering the phone with no additional cost for £35 per month on a two year contract. The Samsung Omnia 7 will also be offered through phone deals on Orange and Three networks.

The second Nokia smartphone based on the new Symbian platform, the Nokia C7 follows hot on the heels of the company’s entertainment powerhouse, the Nokia N8.”

Mobile Joe’s first thoughts: Not a bad looking handset, not a bad looking handset at all. Yet another phone to be jumping on the social media band wagon with Facebook and Twitter feeds directly intergrated into your home screen. Made form stainless steel which sounds pretty funky. At least Nokia took a lot less time to get this phone shipped than they did with the Nokia N8 (hell, that phone better live up expectations!).
